How to Connect Viessmann Heat Pumps and Boilers with the Zerofy App

Compatibility

Heating systems that provide connectivity based on the Viessmann One Base platform are compatible.

Additionally, heating systems with an Optolink interface in combination with a Vitoconnect gateway module can be used for integration.

Vitoconnect type OPTO2

Control units for wall mounted or compact units:

  • Vitotronic 200 (type HO1, HO1A, HO1B, HO1D, HO2B, HO2C)
  • Vitotronic 200-RF (type HO1C, HO1E)

Control units for floorstanding boilers:

  • Vitotronic 200 (type KO1B, KO2B, KW6, KW6A, KW6B, KW1, KW2, KW4, KW5)
  • Vitotronic 300 (type KW3)

Control units for heat pumps and hybrid boilers:

Preconditions

  • Your Viessmann heating system must be compatible (see list above).
  • Your heating system must be connected to the internet (via Viessmann One Base or Vitoconnect gateway).
  • You need your Viessmann account credentials to connect.

Connecting Your Viessmann System with Zerofy

  1. Open Zerofy.
  2. Add a new Viessmann device.
  3. Log in with your Viessmann account credentials.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the connection.

Features and Things to Know

With Viessmann integration, you can:

  • Monitor your heat pump or boiler remotely.
  • View energy consumption and heating data.
  • Monitor and adjust temperatures directly from the app.
  • Optimize heating efficiency based on energy prices and solar production.

Visible Devices

For compatible heat pumps, two devices will appear in Zerofy:

  • Space Heating – controls and monitors the heating circuit
  • Hot Water Tank – controls and monitors the domestic hot water

Autopilot Integration

The Autopilot Smart and Solar optimization modes currently control the hot water tank heating to optimize energy costs. The system automatically boosts hot water production when:

  • Electricity prices are low
  • Excess solar energy is available

This helps maximize self-consumption and reduce energy costs without any manual intervention.
