How to Connect FoxESS Inverters with the Zerofy App

Preconditions:

• Ensure your inverter is cloud-compatible.
• Use the FoxESS Cloud app to register and access your system.
• The FoxCloud account must be the owner account of the device. Installer or agent accounts do not work.

Log in using your FoxESS Cloud credentials in Zerofy.

Troubleshooting

The authorization screen shows “No Devices”

FoxESS’s authorization screen only lists devices that the account you log in with owns. Installer and agent accounts manage plants on behalf of end customers but do not own the devices, so the list comes back empty and FoxESS shows “No Devices” — even when the plant is visible in the installer’s FoxCloud.

To fix this, connect using the end customer’s owner account. If no owner account exists yet, the device must first be bound to (or shared with) an owner account in FoxCloud. FoxESS does not currently support installer-level authorization.

Meter type

• Main meter: Grid meter. Can be configured as bi-directional or consumption.
• Production: Measures solar production. Configure as sub meter with type production.
• Sub meter: Measures any type of device as a sub meter and appears in device consumption.
