How to connect a Solarman P1 meter with the Zerofy app

Preconditions

  • You have a Solarman Smart account (the account you use in the Solarman Smart app or on solarmanpv.com).
  • Your P1 meter is installed, connected through its Solarman logger and assigned to a plant (station) in Solarman Smart. Zerofy discovers devices per plant, so a meter that is not part of a plant will not be found.
  • A Solarman inverter is not required. The meter can be connected on its own.

Connecting your Solarman P1 meter with Zerofy

  1. Open meter setup in Zerofy and select Solarman.
  2. Enter your Solarman Smart account e-mail address and password.
  3. Select your meter from the discovered devices.

Zerofy finds meter readers both when they are listed directly on the plant and when they sit behind a Solarman logger or collector. No extra step is needed.

Features and Things to Know

Once connected, you can:

  • Monitor live grid power and home consumption.
  • View historical data, collected hourly and when you open the app.
  • Configure the meter as a net meter or a consumption meter.

If your Solarman plant contains both an inverter and a P1 meter, Zerofy offers two meters for that plant: one derived from the inverter and one for the P1 meter. Both report the same plant-level values, so connect only one of them.

Meter type

  • Main meter: Grid meter. Can be configured as bi-directional or consumption.
  • Production: Measures solar production. Configure as sub meter with type production.
  • Sub meter: Measures any type of device as a sub meter and appears in device consumption.
