How to Connect Solis Inverters with the Zerofy App

This integration is currently in Beta. It works for most SolisCloud systems, but you may still come across rough edges.

Preconditions:

  • You have a SolisCloud account (the account you use in the SolisCloud app or on soliscloud.com).
  • Your inverter is visible and online in SolisCloud.

Connecting Your Solis Inverter with Zerofy

  1. Open solar/inverter setup in Zerofy and select Solis.
  2. Zerofy opens the SolisCloud login page. Sign in and approve access.
  3. Back in Zerofy, select which of the discovered devices to connect.

Zerofy asks for both data access and device control permissions, so that battery control is available after connecting.

Supported Devices

For every inverter found in your SolisCloud account, Zerofy creates:

  • an inverter,
  • a meter, derived from the inverter’s net grid power and home consumption readings,
  • a battery, if the inverter reports one.

Features and Things to Know

Once connected, you can:

  • Monitor live PV production, grid power, home consumption and battery state of charge.
  • View historical data at 5-minute resolution, collected hourly and when you open the app.
  • Use Autopilot to charge and discharge your battery. When a requested charge or discharge period ends, the inverter automatically returns to its normal self-consumption mode.
  • Switch devices on excess solar production with Autopilot (Solar Mode).

Home consumption comes from the inverter’s own load reading. If your system has both a grid load and a backup/EPS load, only the grid-side load is currently used.

Troubleshooting

  • If SolisCloud returns a “feature restricted” or “forbidden” error, your account or plant is not enabled for this API on the Solis side. Please contact your Solis installer or Solis support.
  • Solis rate-limits its API. Occasional gaps after many rapid refreshes are expected and resolve on the next collection run.

Meter type

  • Main meter: Grid meter. Can be configured as bi-directional or consumption.
  • Production: Measures solar production. Configure as sub meter with type production.
  • Sub meter: Measures any type of device as a sub meter and appears in device consumption.
